Dogs worry Derwent in Semi Final

A spirited NWG side came close to an upset today against Derwent.  The final result of 3-4 did not represent the nature of the game with NWG having plenty of opportunity while Derwent got some lucky breaks resulting in goals.
NWG must now tackle OHA in the preliminary but if that goes well Derwent can expect a fierce battle for the flag based on today's performance.

Bulldogs on the mend

After a shocking start the 'dogs came back to record a 8-4 win over POWW today.
While still far from playing to their potential, this result is promising given the stage of the season.

Dogs Disappoint

The Bulldogs had their 3rd loss in a row today in an extremely poor standard game against OHA.  It was not the 0-1 score card that upset fans, it was the lackluster and passionless performances by players in a team seemingly lacking in motivation.  Far too often the Dogs went for frustrating low percentage attacks instead of using its potent PC attack.

The A-Grade women came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Canterbury.  A nice rebound goal to Louisa Jacobson and a nice strike from Alex Irwin secured a point for the girls.  Well done also to a depleted A Reserve women who beat Canterbury 1-0.

Bulldogs shock loss to Canterbury

It was a very disappointing performance by the bulldogs on Saturday losing to Canterbury 3-5.  With the bulldogs pretty much at full strength the loss was a wake up call for the dogs heading into the last round.
